Open Source Worship?

Ok not quite.

But the next best thing:
Take Me In | live.worship | free download!

Is released under creative commons licensing. And the copyright owner has released this album as a free resource.

I am excited, I have long wanted to explore the possibilities of free worship songs. Being non-musical myself this is difficult to achieve on my own!

But I strongly feel that the Christian music scene has a lot to learn from the Open source (primarily software) movement. If I can run my entire office PC system on software that is freely available and community developed, why can we as a church not resource each others worship in the same way?

Here’s to Murray Bunton – lets hope this is the first of many like minded releases!
